The world gives peace as the absence of trouble. Christ gives peace as a presence in trouble. Two different peaces. Only one is permanent.
Notice the word 'through.' Not around. Not over. Through. He doesn't pull you out — He walks with you. The fear leaves not because the valley ends, but because the shepherd doesn't.
Cast is a fishing word. Throw, all the way out, until it leaves your hand. Not whisper it. Not delay it. Throw it. The next sentence is the reason — He cares.
